How to Get Started - Estate Planning Steps

Our Estate Planning Process

We make it extremely easy for you to begin.
and to finish your estate design process.

To begin, simply phone our scheduling team at 1-800-876-7958, extension 2127. This will connect you with Rosalie Joy, or with one of her team members, who will be glad to set a specific telephone appointment with one of our Estate Specialists.

Then, our scheduler will send you an email indicating how you can best prepare for the call. There usually is little advance preparation needed on your part; nearly everyone can answer our initial questions off the top of their heads.

When the date and time for your scheduled telephone appointment arrives, your Estate Specialist will call you. You and the Estate Specialist will visit by phone so you can explore how we work and determine whether you feel we would be a good "fit" for your planning needs. Should you decide to go forward, your Estate Specialist will begin the process of gathering necessary information to be able to give you good estate planning counsel. You may be asked to send us a copy of your existing estate documents, but in most cases, this is not necessary.

Once the Estate Specialist has a good understanding of your goals, your desired beneficiaries and your assets, recommended strategies will be given to you, both verbally and then in writing. We want you, as a layman, to thoroughly understand your options and the tools we recommend to create the outcomes you desire. We will explore such things as wills versus trusts, estate taxes, probate avoidance, and inheritance and gifting issues. The counsel you receive from us will be carefully tailored to meet your needs.

Then, with our written recommendations in hand, you will be able to consult with local advisors, if you wish, so you can have the added comfort of knowing that they affirm what you have heard from us.

Ultimately, we are prepared to remain engaged with you until all of your new estate documents are completed and properly signed. If a trust has been created, we will also help with any questions you may have regarding how to transfer assets into your trust.

You may accomplish this by using a local attorney in your own community or, if you prefer, we can recommend an attorney from our national network of Christian attorneys who are part of our referral network. The attorneys in our referral network have been carefully vetted by PhilanthroCorp to be certain that they are excellent professionals. They have also agreed in advance to a "fixed fee" drafting service that in most instances will be considerably less than the rate you would receive on your own.

PhilanthroCorp's services are provided at no cost to you, as a donor to TEAM. It is their philosophy to assume a servant's role in this process, seeking to be a blessing to you. To request a phone conference with one of PhilanthroCorp's estate planning specialists, call 800-876-7958 ext 2127 or email (click here)
